The story
Overview
For 14 years, one man has asked RCB's biggest stars the questions nobody else dares to. Created and performed by Bengaluru comedian Danish Sait, Mr. Nags fronts the RCB Insider Show, a parody press conference that has run every IPL season since 2012 and draws millions of views per episode.
Making superstars human
Mr. Nags gets international cricketers to laugh, fumble in Kannada and make jokes at their own expense, showing fans a side broadcasters never do. Danish is known as the only person who can troll these players to their face, a licence earned through years of teasing that is affectionate, never cruel.
A character with its own fan base
Danish has built a character people follow for its own sake, with a consistent voice, catchphrases and a distinctly Bengaluru identity. Fans return each season for Mr. Nags, not just his guests, and the show has grown bigger and better every year.
Impact on Indian sport
Mr. Nags proved that team content works best as entertainment, setting the template for creator-led formats across the IPL and has made Danish Sait Indian sport's most recognised content creator.
